For homework I had to write a letter using my ten words. My letter was written to President Obama. Here is what I wrote (can you guess what my words are?):
Dear President Obama:
You've been president for over a year. I think they've been nice to you in the White House. We're hoping you visit New Jersey soon. If you come, they'll help you with your work and you'll have a fun time with your daughters. I bet they're very playful even though we've never met. You mustn't forget Mrs. Obama and Bo!
Did people vote for you in Texas? After you visit New Jersey, you should go to Utah.
Your pal,
Liam

Hi Liam,
ReplyDeleteI am so excited that you started a blog! Here is my guess for your 10 words:
New Jersey, Texas, Utah, daughter, playful, people, president, white, house, forget.
Let me know how many I got right!
Love,
Mrs. O'Brien
Hi Liam - I know you've never met me, but I like you already!! (And, of course, I LOVE your mom!!). Tell me something - why should President Obama visit Utah after New Jersey? Have you even been to Utah? I have never been there and I don't know even know what might be there. Maybe you can tell me. Oh, I almost forgot to tell you my name! It's Shelley. Let me know what you think. ooxx Shelley
ReplyDeleteHi, Liam! I don't know if you remember me, but I met you a few times at home. I'm guessing that "Utah" is one of your words. I can tell you that I've been there, and there isn't very much to see. There are a couple of beautiful canyons, but other than that it was pretty boring compared to some other states. I hope you have a good night! I can't wait to see your next post!
ReplyDelete-Hope :-)
Hello Liam,
ReplyDeleteI would say your words are president, Utah, New Jersey, you've, they've, mustn't, we're, Texas, they'll, and daughters. It was fun to play this game.
Aunt Phyllis
Liam,
ReplyDeleteI love reading your blog! I think you are my first student to start their own blog. I'm glad you enjoyed our spelling homework this week. Did you know that many people write letters to far away friends or relative or even to “pen pals?” Ask your mom or me what a pen pal is. If you wrote to a friend, what would you tell them about your life, your school or your town? Is there anything you would want to ask them?
Have a wonderful weekend!
Your teach,
Mrs. Collins
These are my words: you've, mustn't, we're, they've, you'll, they'll, they're, we've, Utah, Texas.
ReplyDeleteI took the test on Thursday and I got a 90% because I forgot a capital "T" on Texas.
I've ben to Utah! I had to go to Wyoming for my Aunt's wedding. We flew to Houston in Texas and then we flew to Salt Lake City in Utah and then we drove to Jackson Wyoming.
Wow, Liam,
ReplyDeleteYou were up early today! Congratulations on your spelling test. A 90% is very good! I bet you'll never forget that Texas starts with a capital "T" now! Did you like Salt Lake City? Did you see the Salt Lake? Do you remember how it smelled? I thought it smelled really bad. I hope to see another post soon!
-Hope :-)
Liam - awesome blog! Keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteMr. Collins
Wow, Liam, I have never been to Texas OR Utah OR Wyoming. You are one lucky kid! Maybe you can stuff me in your suitcase next time.
ReplyDeleteRemembering capital letters is tricky! You are doing really well at it!
I can't wait for the next blog post!
